The Decisions API is not a general extraction endpoint. Use Structured Outputs when you need your own object schema.
A focused AI CSV classifier—not a workflow platform
DecideCSV is for a single, bounded job: batch-classify one CSV column with a fixed Choice, Predicate, or Score question and download the joined result. It fits one-off research, cleanup, triage, and labeling tasks where writing and maintaining a custom CSV script would cost more than the run itself.
Use a production pipeline instead when the task repeats on a schedule, needs multiple dependent steps, or must write directly to another system. DecideCSV does not add agents, team workspaces, webhooks, or long-running automations to the MVP.
Privacy and data path
- Your browser parses the CSV and calculates its file fingerprint.
- Only values from the column you select are sent to the DecideCSV relay.
- The relay forwards those values and your temporary key to OpenAI.
- The relay returns typed answers without storing row content or the key.
- Your browser assembles the result file locally.
This is not a “data never leaves your device” product. Selected cells must reach OpenAI to be evaluated. The complete source file and unselected columns remain in the browser.

Frequently asked questions
Does DecideCSV store my OpenAI API key?
No. The key stays in the current browser page and is sent with each processing request. It is not written to browser storage, the database, application logs, or analytics.
Is DecideCSV an OpenAI product?
No. DecideCSV is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
Why is the paid limit 2,000 rows?
The MVP is designed for small one-off jobs that can safely resume in a browser. Larger packages will only be added after real customer demand is verified.
Can I upload XLSX or JSON?
Not in the MVP. Export the relevant sheet as UTF-8 CSV first.
